Emeli Sandé's running a songwriting workshop for children later this month

Controversy magnet Emeli Sandé will host a song­writ­ing workshop for children in London, it's been announced.

The workshops will be for children from the boroughs of Hackney and Lewisham and will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on October 16, a month before the 'Beneath Your Beautiful' chanteuse plays the venue.

Sandé used the following words to express her excite­ment about it all:

"I was really excited when the Royal Albert Hall suggested the idea of a workshop, to sup­ple­ment my gig there. It’s really special to have the oppor­tun­ity to work with children and I’m sure I’ll take as much inspir­a­tion from them as I can offer in return."
