The Queen's party planner has confirmed that he and the other ones have indeed been working on a new Take That album since the start of 2014.
'Taking to Twitter' the 'Face To Face' hitmaker said these exact words:
We have been working since the new year on a new Take That studio album

Asked by a fan what the album sounded like, he said "different", which might just mean that it's different to 'Progress', ie less focus on stuff about aliens, and more like 'Beautiful World', ie more ballads and chunky knitwear.
