Look, it's fair to say nobody in the real world really understands what this whole 'mixing' business is all about.
We know it happens but we also know it's not songwriting or performing or producing. Basically, though, it's fiddling around with all the different bits of a song to make each bit sound amazing. And then it's about making each amazing bit sound amazing next to all the other amazing bits. In other words: IT'S POP MAGIC.
Serban Ghenea is the man responsible for making all your favourite songs sound as incredible as they do.
He's won Grammys for it, and everyone seems to use him to fiddle with their songs. In fact, by pulling together just a small number of the tracks he's worked on, we've accidentally created what might be one of the greatest playlists of all time.
