Twitter: bringing bands and fans closer together

  • January 15, 2009
  • Popjustice

Twitter is a great opportunity for musicians to create loads more brilliant 360 cross-platform 'content' instead of getting bogged down with the boring, music-making part of their job. Calvin Harris recently joined the site and has been wowing fans with classics such as this appraisal of Girls Aloud ("not amazing"), a tweet which was debated on the Popjustice forums ("stop telling us your 'opinions' and produce some fucking music"), which in turn upset Calvin.

This is all very well, but Calvin's Twitter page comes into its own when it allows fans that rare chance to peer inside the mind of a creative genius.

We think you will agree that's some terrific 'content'.
