The new Pet Shop Boys single is called ‘Winner’ and it’s out next week

Pet Shop Boys have announced that the first proper single from their new album ‘Elysium’ will be called ‘Winner’.

If you think the artwork (right) is Olympics-friendly, wait until you hear the song.

The single will be premiered next Monday on The Ken Bruce Show on Radio 2 at some point between 9:30 and 12pm. It will then be available to buy on iTunes.

If you would like to own it physically then you’ll have to wait until August 6. Mind you, your patience will be rewarded as you’ll get three bonus tracks.

(To add another layer of complexity, you will then also be able to get two ‘digital bundles’ on that day, and they will come with bonus tracks and remixes.)

‘Elysium’ is out in September.
