Taylor Swift is funding the Taylor Swift Education Centre to educate children about country music

Taylor Swift is donating $4m to teach children in Nashville about country music.
It will be run by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and Billboard is reporting a scheduled opening date of 2014. The museum director Kyle Young commented, with humility and grace: “Is there a better person out there who’s in touch with a young audience? I think not.”
The Taylor Swift Education Center will house “interactive activities such as a musical petting zoo and a “wet” classroom space”.
Think about it though. In Nashville, you can barely walk down the street without bumping into a banjo. You can buy loo roll holders in the shape of Dolly Parton’s face. Wouldn’t the children of, for instance, Coventry get more out of a musical petting zoo? Do they not also need to know how to twang a guitar?
