Robbie Williams is playing at the Queen’s party

Story filed by Mikey on April 30, 2012

Royal jester and perpetual OBE hopeful Gary Barlow has booked Robbie Williams for the Queen’s Jubilee party.

Robbie confirmed on his website that he will perform a solo set at the June 4 Buckingham Palace concert. “If this doesn’t get me a knighthood, nothing will,” ‘joked’ Robbie. “I can’t wait for the show.”

Some other quite good popstars like Kylie, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Stevie Wonder, Jessie J and JLS will perform. Sirs Tom Jones and Paul McCartney and Dame Shirley Bassey will also do a number at what Barlow called a ”fantastic event which transcends multiple decades of music”.

Ed Sheeran will be on hand to add some much needed star quality to the line-up.

Members of the Royal Family (and maybe even Mollie The Sats) will be in attendance.
