Rita Ora turned down Cheryl Cole’s ‘Call My Name’

Story filed by Mikey on April 25, 2012

Calvin Harris originally offered Rita Ora what is now Cheryl’s ‘Call My Name’, but she didn’t fancy recording it.

Eschewing the clubLOL path, Rita said: “I heard ‘Call My Name’ quite a while ago because I was offered it.”

That doesn’t mean Rita won’t be forking out the 79p for it when it comes out on June 10. She told The Sun: “I turned it down. I do like the song but I didn’t want to sing it ’cos it’s not really me.”

“I don’t want to go down the dance route that a lot of other pop stars are doing,” remarked DJ Fresh’s ‘Hot Right Now’ collaborator.
