R Kelly’s announced the release of his next album

Closet captive R Kelly’s latest opus ‘Write Me Back’ will be out on June 26.

The release of his eleventh album will be the pinnacle of a busy 2012 schedule for R, whose much-anticipated new installments of Trapped In The Closet air later this year.

The album launch will coincide with his undoubtedly modest memoir Soula Coaster: The Diary Of Me and all this comes before a stint as a cruise ship entertainer on his Love Letter cruise.

The deluxe edition of ‘Write Me Back’ will include four bonus tracks plus, wait for it, “a postcard for fans to actually write R Kelly back”. While we generally find iTunes’ star-rating is sufficient method of feedback to the artist, the postcard is certainly a nice idea.

Sadly the press release didn’t say if you had to buy your own stamp or not.
