One Direction and Lady Gaga lead the NME Awards nominations, sort of

One Direction have ‘garnered’ two prestigious nominations at the NME Awards, for Worst Band and Worst Album.
Joining the band in the least-loved LP category is Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’.
NME have also nominated Gaga (and last year’s recipient of Hero Of The Year) as 2011/2012′s Villian Of The Year alongside other evildoers Justin Bieber and Nick Clegg.
Lady Gaga received her third nod for being good at Twitter in the hotly-contested Best Twitter prize.
