No Doubt don’t have enough new songs for an album repackage

Fans of overpriced and irrelevant album repackages are in for a disappointment: No Doubt don’t have any songs leftover to add to the forthcoming ‘Push And Shove’.
“In the past, we’d write 20 songs for a record. This time, our time was limited. So, no, no outtakes!” Tony Kanal told Rolling Stone.
He also talks about why the album took so bloody long: “For everyone, taking that long break was very healthy. Gwen needed to get that out of her system.”
“She couldn’t have made those [solo] albums with No Doubt,” he continued not unreasonably. “And we’ve learned that if you try to force it, it doesn’t work with this band.”
A lesson to us all there.
