Niki & The Dove don’t mean to write such sad songs

Story filed by Mikey on March 5, 2012

‘DJ Ease My Mind’ hitmakers Niki & The Dove have been interviewed by So So Gay revealing, among other things, that their “lyrics are not intended to be dark – quite the opposite”.

The lyrics are, in fact, “about fighting your fear, freeing yourself from a fear that someone else put upon you to dominate you”. So there you go.

The duo also suggested that it would be “amazing” to play some festivals in the UK this summer, having already announced a ten-date tour across the country, and a slot at London’s Lovebox in June.
