Melanie Amaro would quite like to sing a song with Mariah Carey

US X Factor winner Melanie Amaro is keen to work with Mariah Carey on her debut album.

During an interview with BET’s 106 & Park, and reported on Neon Limelight, Amaro said: “I really, really wanna do a song with Mariah Carey. Like, oh my God. That’s like my idol. I also wanna work with Ne-Yo because I hear he’s like a great songwriter. There’s a couple other ones but I’ll leave that for the album.”

As well as revealing her collaborations wishlist, she also said she’s yet to spend any of the money she’s earned since winning the show.

After all the talking was over she then treated everyone to an ‘impromptu’ cover of Beyoncé’s ‘Best Thing I Never Had’.
