Marina & The Diamonds doesn’t Google herself

Publicity-shy alter ego of Electra Heart, Marina & The Diamonds, has said a variety of words in an interview with showbiz hotspot The DigitalSpy, and some were about her reluctance to look at what people have been saying about her online.

Marina said: “I turned off my Google Alerts in 2009 as I learnt that following yourself on the internet very quickly becomes unhealthy. Reviews are funny things, they don’t dictate whether it’s going to be liked or not. I know I’m like Marmite – some journalists will get it and others won’t.”

Other revelations included news of the set design of her tour. Apparently “the stage is being designed to look like a living room with kitsch 60s furniture” which Marina thinks looks “great”.
