Ladyhawke says making an album was one long anxiety attack

Story filed by Mikey on February 29, 2012

Ladyhawke says recording her latest album was “like a two year long anxiety attack”.

The singer says her own predictable bouts of panic influenced the new record - named ‘Anxiety’ – with Pip telling i-D Online: “It doesn’t really give me any warning when it’s going to rear its head.”

She added that by “the end of the process I figured it was a perfect title for the album!”.

She also announced that first single ‘Black, White & Blue’ will go on sale on February 19, followed by the album launch exactly a month later on March 19.

She describes the Bowie and Nirvana inspired LP as “lo-fi at the same time as feeling big”.

Hm…
