Hurts were approached about doing a song for Eurovision this year

In OH GOD CAN’T WE GO BACK IN TIME AND MAKE THIS HAPPEN news, Theo from Hurts has revealed that the band were approached about representing the UK at Eurovision this year.
Theo tweeted a picture of an email they received from the Executive Producer of Eurovision basically asking them to help out. “We are underway with our search to find the UK representative for 2012 and I wondered if there might be any interest from Hurts?”, it reads.
Maybe the email went straight to their junk folder and they’ve only just found it? Maybe they replied, sent them something amazing and the BBC still went with Engelbert Humperdinck?
