Example’s new album features Zane Lowe and Graham Coxon

Story filed by Brad O'Mance on August 21, 2012

Some more details about Example’s new album ‘The Evolution Of Man’ have ‘emerged’ (been sent out in a press release).

As well as the album featuring production from Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe (?) on the closing ‘Blood From A Stone’, Graham Coxon also plays guitar on four songs including first single ‘Say Nothing’.

“I met him at a War Child gig at Shepherd’s Bush Empire,” explained Example. “Then I saw him at The Brits, and told my manager we needed to get him on the album. So I pitched my idea, then went to his house and played him the album. On some songs he just picked up his guitar and started freestyling. It was fucking amazing.”

‘Freestyling’.

The press release also uses phrases like “Soundgarden crossed with The Animals”, “distant cousin of Nirvana’’s ‘Come As You Are’” and “sounds like Jack White jamming with The Chemical Brothers” to describe the new songs, so you’ve been warned.

‘The Evolution Of Man’ is out on November 18.
