Alesha Dixon is no longer signed to a label

Story filed by Brad O'Mance on June 6, 2011

Alesha Dixon has “parted ways” with her label, Asylum Records, following poor sales of her second album, ‘The Entertainer’.

The album, which was released last November, peaked at number 84 despite Dixon appearing every week on BBC1′s Strictly Come Dancing.

According to Contact Music, Asylum Records and Dixon have released a statement in which they unconvincingly cite “creative differences” as the main reason for it not working out.
