Aiden Grimshaw wanted to sing “mental” songs on The X Factor but couldn’t

Story filed by Brad O'Mance on May 10, 2012

Serious recording artiste Aiden Grimshaw has been talking earnestly and authentically to the BBC about his time on The X Factor.

“Most of it was compromise,” he said. “I wanted to be singing mental songs (!) on a Saturday night at half seven which just weren’t appropriate.”

“But I was always happy with the songs I was given,” he added, unconvincingly. “It’s an amazing experience.”

Of his new ‘material’, he said: “I think it’s going to be different to what people expect from Aiden Grimshaw from The X Factor.”

So refreshing.
