Adele’s been nominated for four Ivor Novello awards

Story filed by Brad O'Mance on April 17, 2012

The nominations for the Ivor Novello Awards, celebrating “excellence in songwriting and composing”, have been announced, with Adele receiving four.

‘Rolling In The Deep’ is one of three contenders in the Best Song Musically & Lyrically category, alongside Florence ‘+’ The Machine’s ‘Shake It Out’ and Ed Sheeran’s ‘The A Team’.

Elsewhere ’21′ is up for the Album Award while ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You’ go up against Take That’s ‘The Flood’ for Most Performed Work.

The only shortlist Adele failed to make was that of Best Contemporary Song, which will go to either Nero for ‘Promises’, borelord James Blake for ‘The Wilhelm Scream’ or Lana Del Rey for ‘Video Games’.

An exciting array of music there.
