More info

You cannot go wrong with a bit of Paije Richardson.

Richo's first single was going to be something else but now it is going to be 'Bang Bang', which is a good decision all round because 'Bang Bang' is a pretty extraordinary debut with Paije's pretty-good-thanks vocals underpinning an exciting, frenetic soul banger. Usually this is the bit where you'd go 'with a modern twist' or 'with a 2012 edge' but there's none of that box-ticking here, just a confident R&B pop track that sounds simultaneously timeless and fresh.

It was recorded on the Isle Of Wight, a land mass well known for its rich R&B history.

(Yes it does the waiting/anticipating thing but if we called for the resignation of every popstar who did that we'd be left with Parade and Campag Velocet so we'll let him off.)

There's an album waiting in the wings, and it's coming out through Pledge Music which means you can help it along.

Apparently the album contains some covers including "rarely-heard music from the 50s" (so don't hold out for Paije's take on 'Something Kinda Ooooh') but Paije promises more original tracks too, and if the original songs are anything like 'Bang Bang' they'll be the album highlights.
