Neon Hitch seems like she has been on the verge of Something Quite Big for several aeons (we've been writing about her since 2008 and her Wikipedia page is like a checklist of things people do on their way to complete chart domination) and her recent appearance on a proper hit record, Gym Class Heroes' 'Ass Back Home', has left her perfectly positioned to strike.
Bruno Mars co-write 'Gold' picks up where 'Ass Back Home' left off (except instead of the "oh oh oh oh oh" hook in the Gym Class Heroes single she goes "oh oh oh oh oh oh oh" in this one so it's really quite different) and feels like it could work as her first big launch single - it sounds enough like existing hit singles to make easy waves, but enough like Neon Hitch to establish her as a star in her own right.
Apparently this will be on iTunes tomorrow so if you've been following Neon for the last couple of years it's shit or get off the pot time.
