Sydney-based 18-year-old pop don John Rowley describes his tunes as "unabashed pop music, hopefully at a decent standard", and we featured him on Popjustice a few months ago when he recorded a cover/mashup thing of 'Radioactive' and 'Pumped Up Kicks'.
John's unsigned and unmanaged and unpublished and flying completely solo but he makes really enchanting downbeat pop music that has something very special about it.
This time we're featuring him with one of his original songs - a subtle, pretty tune called 'Guilt Trip'. If you like Bright Light Bright Light and downtempo Pet Shop Boys stuff, with a bit of Hot Chip thrown in, you will probably find 'Guilt Trip' up your street. If it is up your street, you can buy 'Guilt Trip' now on John's Bandcamp page.
He likes the same sort of music you do, too, so give him a follow on Twitter.
