The last The Wanted song sounded like Example because he wrote it. The new Example song sounds like a The Wanted song, but not the one Example wrote, the one that sounded like Kings Of Leon. Example didn't write the Kings Of Leon song either.
Actually do you know what it's not fair to say that this song 'sounds like' that The Wanted song, because it's really only the "WHOOAH-OAH-OH" bits that sound like The Wanted and Kings Of Leon, and in fact they sound as much like Coldplay as they do those two, and even if you take those bits out of 'Say Nothing' you are still left with a song that ticks three important boxes in the whole 'is this Example song any good?' questionnaire and those boxes are:
1. Blokey
2. Romantic
3. Quite literally blomantic
We're not happy about the double negative in the chorus, though, especially in light of this. Lead by example, Elliot. Lead by Example.
