Alison Valentine – ‘Peanut Butter’

This track was premiered by Kick Kick Snare a couple of days ago and we've listened to it 32 times since then, meaning it must be good. Right? RIGHT.

It is a tropical disco sort of affair which Alison herself describes as "SebastiAn and Janet Jackson go to the beach with the Tom Tom Club". We also like the EastEnders-style drumclaps in the intro.

Other stuff about Alison:

» She's currently studying at the Tisch School of the Arts. We're afraid we can't think of any former Tisch students who've gone on to do anything of note, apols.

» She has performed with the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Choir.

» She went to boarding school in Switzerland.

» There's an EP coming up - it's called 'Swimming Pool Sounds' and it's out later this summer.
