t.A.T.u’s debut album ’200 km/h in the Wrong Lane’ is being reissued to celebrate its 10th anniversary (!).

The special ‘Gold Edition’ will be released by Cherrytree Records and Universal Russia on November 12 and will feature (we’re copying this from the press release): “all new artwork, a never-before-released song from the 2002 sessions, ‘A Simple Motion’, a brand new remix of ‘All The Things She Said’ from producer Fernando Garibay (Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Shakira), special remix in addition to newly-mastered songs.”

Let’s have a listen to ‘All The Things She Said’ again, shall we.

Watch carefully – the statues come to life when the music starts!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08j-qmojD_Q

The bit we like best is when Aggro is asked what it’s like working with Kimberley and he’s sort of stumbling his way through “she’s… like… amazing to work with… hard working artist” etc and all he’s basically thinking “nice tits”. That must be one of the problems with being a popdwarf. Breasts in your face all day long.

Kimberley’s vocals aren’t great but, in the morning telly Girls Aloud live vocal stakes, nothing will EVER top this.

It’s funny, really. In America the ‘Got Milk?’ campaign is so well-estabished, so ingrained in popular culture and such an indicator of a star’s status that a role in the campaign has become somewhat prestigious.

To a UK audience, the ‘Make Mine Milk’ campaign just looks like someone’s spunked over Usher’s face.

And poor old Pixie Lott. The ‘Pixie Drinks Lotts’ addition to her own part of the campaign simply suggests that she sits at home knocking back glass after glass of refreshing jizz.

Let’s inflate then jump from a chair onto the Ribena carton of recycled news: » Crossover rap ‘artiste’ Example intends [...]

Let’s inflate then jump from a chair onto the Ribena carton of recycled news:

» Crossover rap ‘artiste’ Example intends to spend this Good Friday watching a film and eating Sugar Puffs. (Twitter)

» Christina Aguilera has said that although she likes to write her own material, when ‘Not Myself Tonight’ “just kind of showed up” she told herself “oh my God, I have to sing this song”. (Digital Spy) Translation: it was getting quite a long way into the album recording process and we didn’t have a first single.

» Oasis have got a new Greatest Hits coming out. (NME) It will contain various songs by Oasis. The End.

» Tinie Tempah’s producer Labrinth is doing something for Pixie Lott. (Daily Star)

» Adam Lambert has announced that Muse will go down in history as a legendary group, and he’s thrilled that they contributed a song to his album. (Digital Spy) Poor old Justin Hawkins.

» Doctor Who’s Matt Smith co-hosted this morning’s Radio 1 breakfast show with Zane Lowe. Turns out he likes indie music quite a lot, not that he likes to talk about it. (Radio 1)

» N-Dubz say that their ‘mini autobiography’ is all about setting the record straight. (Radio 1 Newsbeat) To be clear on this, the band’s self-righteous waffle about setting the record straight is definitely NOT ‘all about’ their way of rationalising something done purely for cash.

That’s your lot.

Let’s queue in the cold outside the overrated nightclub of recycled news:

» The clocks have changed but you can set your watch by this: Nadine Coyle‘s denying a Girls Aloud rift. (Digital Spy)

» N-Dubz say that they “opened a door to new music”. (Digital Spy)
An interesting theory but we think what in fact happened here is that
N-Dubz shat in some newspaper, set it on fire then rang on ‘music”s
doorbell leaving ‘music’ to open the door, stamp out the flames
and cover itself in actual human shit.

» ‘Chart news’: Lady Gaga is still Number One in the singles chart; Boyzone are Number One in the albums chart. (BBC)

» Popjustice-approved pop warbler MNEK is looking for someone to make his first video on the cheap. (Twitter)

» How exciting: Gorillaz are releasing a computer game with a song attached. (NME) (It’s not really very exciting.)

» Some music industry people are banging on about ‘policy’ and ‘copyrights’. (The Register) (That makes the Gorillaz computer game seem quite exciting doesn’t it.)

» Alex Gardner says that his biggest fan is “a French lady in her 60s who used to love Mika”. (Daily Star)

» Ladies and gentlemen, the worst thing in the world has now happened. Audio Bullys have recorded AN ACOUSTIC SET. (The Sun)

» Over the weekend there was a protest by some people who are upset about BBC 6 Music closing. (NME) Liz Kershaw and The Brute Chorus were in attendance, which might give you some indication of what we’re dealing with here.

» If you think your Monday’s rough spare a thought for Mini Viva – they’re on their way to Wolverhampton. (Twitter)

» Live Nation is planning to do away with paper tickets in favour of ‘smart-chip’ wristbands. (Radio 1 Newsbeat) It’s aimed at reducing fraud – you can also buy drinks and food in Live Nation venues using the wristbands, although presumably the hope here is that you’ll ‘top up’ the wristband and forget to redeem the final few quid that remains at the end of the night. But maybe we’re being ‘a bit cynical’. Seems like a good idea all told but don’t come running to us when some unfortunate Lady Gaga fan gets his hands chopped off in an alleyway.

» Swedish singer Name The Pet is feeling stressed. (Twitter)

» The Ark‘s new album ‘In Full Regalia’ is out in April. (XO’s Middle Eight)

»
Glenn from Squeeze has revealed that 2010 is a different year to 1979. (BBC)

» And finally: a general roundup of Xenomania news over at Xenomania News (hence the name). (Xenomania News)

» People aren’t happy about Virgin Media monitoring downloads although the chances of anyone being able to download more than two average size jpegs a day on Virgin’s pathetic and frequently inactive broadband ‘service’ are fairly slim so you might argue that Virgin are already doing their bit to prevent music piracy. (The Guardian)

In celebration of Australia Day, Gabriella Cilmi (WHO IS AUSTRALIAN) posed with an Australian flag. (Daily Star) The key point here readers is that you cannot tell whether she is wearing anything underneath the flag, PHWOAR RIGHT LADS??? Tell you what, when you’ve finished knocking one out, why not pre-order Gabriella’s excellent new single ‘On A Mission’. No? What’s that you say? “We’re not interested in her music but we quite like attractive teenagers, mind you if it’s not Gabriella it’ll just be someone else so we’re not really fussed either way”? Really? Oh. :(

Eyes down, look in:

» The new UK Number One is ‘Fireflies’ by Owl City. Example‘s ‘Won’t Go Quietly’ is the highest new entry at Number 6. (Radio 1)

» Cheryl Cole has a mouth. (The Mirror)

» Ryan Tedder says that Leona Lewis not actually promoting her single in America might have had a small impact on the fact that ‘Happy’ didn’t exactly do very well chartwise. He adds that unless you’re someone like Beyonce you have to be in the country to promote your music. Reading between the lines here we suspect this might be his way of saying that if labels aren’t going to actually promote singles, he’ll just save his best songs for Beyonce and mid-ranking acts like Leona can ‘whistle for it’. (Digital Spy)

» Keep your eye out for a new music format – MusicDNA. It’s like an MP3 except it’s got all sorts of other stuff in it. There will be blogs and artwork and that sort of thing, ie it won’t necessarily save the music industry as is claimed, but will certainly help all the industries that specialise in creating shit ‘content’ then flogging it to the music industry at vast profit. Warning: this format sounds shit. (The Guardian)

» There was a minor fiasco at a French music awards when Black Eyed Peas were announced as winners for an award that the woeful Tokio Hotel had actually won. (BBC News)

» Radiohead‘s Ed O’Brien has been talking about the music industry again. This time his main point is that people are too concerned about money, and people should just be more creative like they were in the good old days. It would be interesting to see how he expects his proposed happy-clappy creatively driven utopia to sit alongside his suggestion last week that music should be cheaper. Perhaps in Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien’s world all music should be free and things like videos should be paid for with magic beans and painted twigs. (BBC News)

» A JLS support act has been getting himself in the press by saying something or other about JLS. (Daily Star Playlist)

» The Hope For Haiti charity telethon show thing raised £35m. (BBC News)

» In other Haiti news, some famous musican types, and The Magic Numbers, have donated unwanted items to an auction organised by Emily Eavis. (Radio 1 Newsbeat)
