“At least as of last week, from the label, I’ve been told there is no actual talks happening right now – whatsoever,” he told BBC Newsbeat.

“At which point she wants to start working again I’m sure she’ll kick it off with [Paul] Epworth, I would assume, as I would.”

“I would of course, go in, in a heartbeat. I already have a couple of ideas. To me though it would come down to, ‘Ok, last album was bitter and heartbroken’. That was the narrative. It’s hard for me to even come up with ideas without knowing what the narrative would be now.”

“Everything she does is so instantaneous, instant, real, authentic,” he continued. “The most I could possibly come up with would just be music. I’m not going to put words in her mouth for anything.”

“What I’ve been a part of is my favourite thing that I’m working on at the moment and I’m finishing today actually,” he told us on Monday.

Aware of the fact that the album would need to be wrapped up pretty soon, he added: “I’m praying to god that it’s not too late as I’ve been so busy it’s taken me two weeks to get this damn thing done. But it gives me goosebumps.”

No stranger to seeing a song pass from one artist to another at the last minute, Teddo then explained that “I never know what’s going to make a record, so I don’t want to be the guy going ‘I’ve made the biggest hit on the album’ and then it’s not on there”.

‘Taking to Twitter’ the Westlife collaborator said of the song: “ive heard it. Best bond song in my lifetime. Hands down- hats off once again to Paul Epworth and Adele. hope they win Oscar!”

The tweet was subsequently deleted, perhaps due to the hands down/hats off confusion.

The Bond website MI6 HQ (amazing) also reported that Adele’s publicist Paul Moss tweeted about the song and then also deleted it.

Talking to Billboard, Tedder said he’s recently been cancelling more expected recording sessions “to do stuff that just freaks me out that I think’s cool”.

The Diane Warren-penned ballad (obviously) was a late submission for the album and just featured Warren’s vocals when it was handed to Tedder.

Talking to Billboard, he said: “We did the entire thing on two airplanes, from Vegas to Boston and then returning from Boston to Vegas two days later. It was absolutely bizarre, but the song sounds great.”

The man responsible for Westlife’s ‘Beautiful’ and Shayne Ward’s ‘Gonna Be Alright’, has also revealed that he’s currently working on albums from the likes of K’naan, B.o.B, Cobra Starship and Carrie Underwood, before focusing on the next One Republic album.

The song is apparently about the “different aspects of the lives of women” and about how they can “multitask and carry so much”. In summary, it’s about “the amazingness of a woman”.

When asked who her female role models are she cited Gwen Stefani as a big influence, not least for her make-up choices. “I love how she rocks that red lipstick no matter where she goes” she said.

She also revealed that her forthcoming third album would include collaborations with John Legend and ‘No Air’ hitmakers the Underdogs.

The show will debut on May 30 and is hosted by country starlet Jewel, alongside head judge Kara DioGuardi. Billboard reports that as well as Leona and Natasha, guest judges will also include Donna Summer (amazing), Jermaine Dupri (sometimes amazing), Taio Cruz (lyrically woeful but generally pretty amazing) and Ryan Tedder (amazing).

The twelve aspiring musicians will battle through various songwriting challenges, with the winner pocketing a $100,000 cash prize, a publishing deal with Sony and a recording deal with RCA/Jive.
