In an interview with Pitchfork TV (obviously) the ‘Jag vet en dejlig Rosa’ chanteuse, who was just finishing her last few shows at the time it was filmed, explained: “I can’t write and tour at the same time. I can record and tour at the same time, but I can’t write and tour.”

She then went on to talk about what she’s been listening to at the moment and how this might help her get on with it.

“I think there’s some inspiring music out there that I’m listening to and I’m going back to a few things that I used to listen to, like house music that’s softer. I lost faith in hip-hop a few years ago but I’m maybe having people convince me again.”

“I love Metronomy’s last album and a lot of house music,” she continued. “I feel that’s really inspiring at the moment and maybe there’s something in there that will have an effect on the next album, but I really don’t know because I haven’t started writing so…”

Having a chat with BBC Newsbeat, the ‘Breakdown Intermission’ chanteuse ‘revealed’ that all the touring has prevented her from actually writing any new songs.

“Touring and writing doesn’t work. I’m coming off the road so I can release something quicker,” she explained.

“Everyone’s asking when there will be new stuff: The labels I work with, the fans, the journalists. To be honest, I’m just happy someone cares.”

Mind you, that’s not to say that she hasn’t tried: “I’ve been trying to write new stuff but as soon as another tour comes up, my ideas go out of my head. I start thinking about rehearsals instead.”

Oh Robyn, do get on with it.

The ‘Konichiwa Bitches’ chart-topper tweeted about it earlier and the information also went on her website, which is pretty useful if you wish to purchase any tickets.

In a Swedish interview with Rodeo, the also-Swedish Robyn responded that she hadn’t thought “in a concrete way” with regards to her next album.

Woolly expression aside, Robyn did however tease her thought process, revealing: “If I think about what I’ve built my songwriting on it’s the things you can dance to and beautiful melodies. And that’s still going to be the most important building blocks: beats and melodies.”

The interview took place backstage at the Coldplay Emirates ‘gig’ and Robyn took her opportunity to reassure us all that “[she's] not going to be pulled into all of this – arena music”.

Wonderful.

There hasn’t been any announcement about whether this means she’ll be releasing new music in the coming months, but it bodes well doesn’t it?

Her Paris date is part of the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, which runs from November 1-3 at the Grande Halle de la Villette. There’s some more information about it all on Pitchfork.

It’s a shame that the rest of the lineup looks so boring. Mind you, Pitchfork seem to have decided recently that they actually quite like pop music sometimes, so maybe it will be okay.

Robyn will sing and stomp about at London’s O2 Academy in Brixton on November 1. We won’t dwell too hard on the thought that she might have a batch of new material by then as it might bring on the need for a lie down.

If that’s seems too far away, Robyn will also be joining her pal Rokk at his Body Talk club night in Dalston Superstore on June 4 between 7pm and 3am. There’ll be a stripper, drag queens, and “a fun, unpretentious vibe for like-minded people regardless of sexuality or race.” We can’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Tickets for the Brixton Academy gig go on sale this Friday May 25 at 9am for £20.

Entry to the Dalston Superstore thing is free before 10pm and £5 after that and they’ll be doing it all again at Manchester’s Homoelectric on June 9.

The video will be shot some time around the end of March or beginning of April, and may or may not be for their ‘Body Talk Pt 2′ collaboration, ‘U Should Know Better’.

According to the agency it will be “the video of the year and it will make the people in the video stars”.

Both Snoop and Robyn are said to be the ‘creatives’ on the clip and it is stressed that it will be “an acting video, not a dance video”.

Coldplay have revealed that Rita Ora, Frank Ocean and Ash will join the previoulsy announced Marina And The Diamonds and Robyn to support them across Europe on their upcoming Mylo Xyloto Tour.

The UK dates in London, Sunderland and Manchester will all feature Robyn and Rita Ora, apart from the first London one where support will come from Marina and Ash.

The European leg of the tour begins in Porto on May 18 with support from Marina and Rita Ora and will end in Hanover on September 22 with Marina and Frank Ocean.

You’re probably best off just looking at this schedule to be honest.
