“I was working with Britney actually at the end of the year,” he explained to The Source. “She had me come on X Factor show and do something with her, so we’ll see what happens if we get a chance to work together.”

He then just started listing people, basically.

“I am working with Mariah, I am working with Jennifer Lopez. I just finished a couple songs with Jessie J over in London and I also wrote a couple of songs that are being considered for Rihanna’s new album, so there’s a lot of good stuff happening so we’ll see.”

He also missed off that list The Saturdays and Kylie, but we’re sure that was just because of temporary memory loss.

The ‘Christmas Must Be Something More’ chanteuse ‘scooped’ the following prizes (deep breath): Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200, Artist of the Year, Top Billboard 20 Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Country Artist and Top Digital Songs Artist.

Rihanna and Gotye were in joint second place if this were a race, with four ‘gongs’ each.

Meanwhile, Madonna, Nicki Minaj and One Direction won three each and Justin Bieber walked off with two.

The latter gave the following speech to remind everyone of why we should all take him seriously as an artiste: ”I’m 19 years old, and I think I’m doing a pretty good job. It should be about the music, about the craft. This is not a gimmick. I should be taken seriously.”

‘JT’ is up for four awards in total having been nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration (for ‘Suit & Tie’), Video of the Year (for ‘Suit & Tie’) and the big one, the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award.

Rihanna, Alicia and Beyoncé will all ‘battle it out’ for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, while Rihanna is also up for Best Video (for ‘Diamonds’) and that Coca-Cola thing.

There’s also a Best International Act: UK award, which features Wiley, Emeli Sandé (of course), Labrinth, Rita Ora, Estelle (!) and Marsha Ambrosius.

The ceremony takes place on June 30 and you can see the full list of nominees here.

The ‘Hard’ hitmaker will sing some songs on stage at Dallas’ American Airlines Center on November 11 and the same songs at Houston’s Toyota Center on November 14.

Tickets for the original shows are still valid but if you can’t be arsed to go anymore you can get refunds at point of purchase.

The song has in fact already charted in the UK – back in November – but will be released properly on June 24, just after the ‘Te Amo’ hitmaker’s British ‘gigs’.

Despite some epic moaning from certain quarters of The Wanted’s fanbase…

…The Wanted indeed confirmed the news we reported yesterday – that the banter-bothering boyband’s new single is called ‘Walks Like Rihanna’.

‘WALKS LIKE RIHANNA’.

Even better, they have even chucked a 30-second clip online [most links now seem go have been deleted sadly] and we believe the full song is due to premiere at some point today.

Naturally the chorus lyrics – “she can’t sing, she can’t dance, but who cares – she walks like Rihanna” – are brilliantly terrible, but this is no easy instance of ‘so bad it’s good’. These lyrics are so terrible that they sort of propel themselves, and the entire song, beyond normal concepts of good and bad and into an entirely new value system.

The clip would be an unlistenable joke were it not for the fact that, as you can hear, the melody of the Dr Luke-produced single is absolutely fucking amazing. And this changes everything. This means that a single that could easily have been a tragic plea for attention from a boyband desperately trying to drum up attention as One Direction conquer this planet and most others could, in fact, be something that kickstarts a whole new ‘chapter’ in The Wanted’s career. It’s fantastically uncool and lacking in credibility, which is a bit strange considering how seriously The Wanted have usually taken themselves, but perhaps JUST LIGHTENING UP FOR A MINUTE is exactly what’s needed.

Seriously what a tune. This might even be the best chorus melody of The Wanted’s career to date.

The title was sort of confirmed by tweets from various people who’d been in the video, and according to wotyougot the chorus is apparently this triumph of feminist contemplation:

“She can’t sing,
She can’t dance,
But who cares,
She walks like Rihanna.”

The documentary about Rihanna’s 777 tour/fiasco thing is being released on DVD and that DVD now has some cover ‘art’.

While an edited version of the documentary will ‘air’ on Fox on May 6, fans will be able to buy a 77-minute version on May 7 (see what they did there), so that’s a reason to wake up in the morning.

There are no plans to show the documentary on British TV but it’s the sort of thing you’d expect to turn up late on whichever channel thinks it’s worth paying a bit of cash for, isn’t it.

Other artists to receive nominations include oft-ignored chanteuse Rihanna with ten, Carly Rae Jepsen with nine, One Direction with eight and Nicki Minaj with seven.

To be honest there are loads more but it’s just a really long list and it’s probably easier if you head over here to see who’s up for what and why etc.

The awards will be handed out on May 19 in Las Vegas and there will be performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber, so that’s nice.

The ‘Rehab’ hitmaker was due to sing some songs on a stage in Houston last night but had to cancel “as a result of illness,” reports The Guardian Express.

This is the third show she’s had to cancel after being forced to pull out of shows in Boston and Baltimore due to laryngitis.
