The salient points

  • The Pussycat Dolls were initially formed as a burlesque troupe in 1995 but were transformed into a girl group in 2003.

  • The amount of flesh on show didn't change much during that transition, however.

  • They split in 2010.

  • Nicole Scherzinger was often given lead vocals and their second album, 'Doll Domination', featured a number of songs meant for Scherzinger's scrapped solo album.

  • 'Don't Cha' was their first single and it did pretty nicely thank you very much.

  • In fact, their first album, 'PCD' was full of quite good singles, such as this and this.

  • The video for 'When I Grow Up' featured a number of health and safety violations.

  • The beginning of the end of The Pussycat Dolls arrived in 2009 when their cover of 'Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)' was billed as 'The Pussycat Dolls feat Nicole Scherzinger'.

  • Poor the rest of them. :(
