• NERD had their moments but none was more amazing than Alesha Dixon thrashing violently in one of their videos.


• Far better is Pharrell's work with production duo The Neptunes, who produced some of the best pop songs of the last decade, such as this and this and this but not so much this.


• His song 'Frontin'' is the kind of song boring indie kids like to cover for irony or to prove they like a bit of pop now and then but not too much.


• But it's still good.


• He was to blame for a lot of 'Hard Candy', but don't hold that against him.


• By 2012 he was working on a lot of pop artistes including Scissor Sisters, Adam Lambert and - best of the lot - Conor Maynard.
