• No Doubt are a complicated band: sometimes amazing, sometimes not.


• Although they are best when they let Gwen take the reins, even when they get carried away with the guitars and whatnot, they still have an ear for melody.


• After coming to worldwide attention in the '90s with 'Don't Speak', they messed things up a bit by releasing 'Return To Saturn', which precisely nobody bought despite it being genius in places.


• Their version of Talk Talk's 'It's My Life' is one of the greatest cover versions ever.


• They went on hiatus so that Gwen could become a popstar in her own right, but then 'reconvened' in 2010 to start recording together again.


• This didn't really amount to much to be honest and then they tried again in 2011 and eventually an album, 'Push And Shove', was released in 2012 to a fairly muted response from the general public.


• For example 'Looking Hot' sold 680 copies the week the band performed it on The X Factor. Doesn't stop it being amazing though does it.
