The salient points

• Miley Cyrus is actually called Destiny Hope Cyrus. We prefer the latter to be honest but it's a bit late to change things now isn't it.


• Miley starred in the TV show Hannah Montana, in which she played Miley Stewart (ALL THESE NAMES JESUS CHRIST), a young girl who becomes a pop star (Hannah Montana) by night. Her co-star was 'Achy Breaky Heart' hitmaker Billy Ray Cyrus, who also happens to be her dad.


• Her first album as Miley Cyrus (keep up at the back), 'Breakout', came out in 2008 and was followed by an EP, 'The Time of Our Lives', which featured this monumental piece of pop wonderment.


• Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but that song was co-written by Jessie J.


• 2010's 'Can't Be Tamed' album featured Miley dressed in leather on the cover and included a cover of a song by hair metal jokers Poison. It was 'a mixed bag'.
