The salient points


  • The name 'Little Boots' is a rough English translation of 'Caligula', who was a Roman emperor.

  • Little Boots is the same height as Kylie Minogue, Paula Abdul and Pat Benatar, a fact which has in many ways influenced her music.

  • She topped the BBC Sound of 2009 poll. In the same year Lady Gaga came sixth.

  • Fortunes sort of swapped around the two ladies after that.

  • 'New In Town' was a massive tune if not a massive chart hit. Her debut album 'Hands' contained this and more massive-tunes-but-not-hits.

  • In 2011 she debuted a new song 'Shake', which was technically three and a half minutes too long, but incredible nonetheless, ahead of a full second album due in the summer of 2012. Well it was 'due' in 2011 to be exact but we'll excuse 'Booto' the lateness due to the fact that she is a very good pop thing.
