The ‘Cold Shoulder’ hitmaker has been named the UK’s richest young musician by the Sunday Times’ Rich List 2013 (as reported here), with a reported £30m fortune.

A distant second is poor Cheryl Cole, who is worth a paltry £14m, while Global Songstress Leona Lewis is third with an estimated value of £12m.

As you may be aware, Leona Lewis is not averse to ‘furries’. Now, she has ‘collaborated’ with The Body Shop to spread her love.

The ‘Broken’ chanteuse is now the face of Peppermint Foot Scrub, in her new role as “brand activist” for the shop.

According to a press release, Leona will be “putting her name to an exclusive cruelty-free make-up and fragrance collection”, which is available from March 26. But that’s not all! She is also  doing some kind of live performance on that day to be streamed on The Body Shop’s Facebook page.

Fear not – there is also some ‘video content’ to accompany the announcement, in which Leona declares herself to be “really passionate about beauty.” Aren’t we all, Leona. AREN’T WE ALL.

Chatting to – YOU KNOW IT! – the Daily Star Playlist, the ‘Toys, Toys, Toys, Choke, Toys, Toys, Toys’ hitmakers explained: “We got asked to have a writing session with Leona Lewis and play on Robbie Williams’ record ‘Take The Crown’.”

Basically, they just didn’t have the time, not even for Global Songstress Leona.

“Writing for others is something I’d love to do once we slow down as a band,” continued frontman Simon Neil. “But if you write a song that you think is one of the best ever, and it’s not for our band, I don’t know if I’d be happy giving it away.”

Apparently the Robbie thing came about because they’re all friends with producer Jacknife Lee.

“The guy who produced Robbie’s record – Jacknife Lee – is a friend of ours. I was at his house and he was in the middle of it when he asked me. If we’d had time we might have but I don’t think Robbie needs our help.”

Leona probably does though to be honest.

In a chat in the new issue of Notion magazine, she said: “I passed on ‘We Found Love’.”

Let’s just take a moment to allow that to properly sink in.

“I’ve got the demo of that song and I was busy at the time. They’d sent me a few dance tracks and I wasn’t able to get to them and I was like ‘oh there’s so much dance and I want to take a break from it’,” she continued. “That was my fault. I slept on it.”

To be clear, while Global Songstress Leona Lewis had the song cruelly snatched away from her, Nicole just couldn’t be bothered to do it because there was too much dance music around at that time.

‘Amazing’.

She also goes on to say that she also turned down Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ and while in The Pussycat Dolls they said no thanks to Lady Gaga’s ‘Just Dance’.

Again: ‘amazing’.

As for the ‘Lovebird’ hitmaker, she had this to say about it all: “I greatly enjoyed my time working with Modest! and I’m very proud of all the things we achieved together. I would like to thank them for all their hard work and support over the years.”

“They played an important role in my career and I’ll always be grateful to them. I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my career.”

We wonder what that chapter will involve.

Leona’s just finished the Art On Ice tour, which saw her performing as part of a sort of posh Dancing On Ice in Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.

‘I Miss You Missing Me’ was originally recorded by your friend and ours Bibi Chow, and rumours first circulated about Leona’s version back in August 2011.

Apparently it was meant for the ‘Glassheart’ album, alongside Sia’s ‘Blank Page’ and Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’.

Mind you, it all turned out wonderfully well in the end so not to worry.

Leona Lewis’ ‘Lovebird’ single now has some cover ‘art’, even though it’s not coming out as an actual separate single and can only be bought from the album on iTunes :(

This campaign is going swimmingly, isn’t it.

Talking to your friend and mine Melvin from Kiss FM, Calvin was asked which version was better, to which he replied: “Erm, they’re very different because she (Leona) sings it dead softly, you know, how Leona sings.”

We do Calvin, we do.

He then elaborated: “It’s more like an X Factor ballad.”

Asked if he had to on his iTunes, he added: “Yeah I have. The only people that have got it are me and Leona Lewis.”

He also ‘revealed’ that Rihanna’s not a fan of having other people in the studio when she’s singing.

“She doesn’t let anyone in the studio when she’s recording vocals except for the engineer,” she explained. “So I was in there and I was like ‘Hi, how’s it going…see you later!’ But then 3-4 hours later I come back and it sounds amazing.”

There you have it.

The ‘Never Touch That Switch’ hitmaker will press a button on November 5 and also sing some songs.

Other people singing songs at the same event are boyband Lawson and Global Superstar Leona Lewis.

For the first time, the event will be ticketed and there will be some sort of ‘golden viewing circle’ (blimey) for 3,500 people. The tickets are free and will be available from TODAY!!!!! from the Heart 106.2 website.
