The salient points

• Kimberley 'Kimba' Walsh very nearly didn't make it into Girls Aloud. She missed out on the final ten on Popstars: The Rivals, only getting through after someone else dropped out.


• Thank goodness she did because she was basically their manager after 'loveable' Louis Walsh lost faith.


• While the other girls were off getting a bit tipsy or marrying men they shouldn't, Kimberley always seemed like the one who'd make you a nice cup of tea and have a chat about how you were feeling, then maybe give you a cuddle.


• Other than Cheryl, Kimberley's the only other member of Girls Aloud to have had a Top 10 single.


• Although that was with Aggro Santos.


• As well as singing sweetly, Kimberley's also an actress, having starred in Britannia High and Horrid Henry: The Movie.


• The less said about Suck My Pop the better.


• Around the same time it was announced Girls Aloud were getting back together for a bit, Kimbo came second on Strictly Come Dancing, losing out to Olympic hero, Louis Smith.


• Her debut album is a collection of theatre 'favourites' called 'Centre Stage'. :(
