• Back in 2002 America started a search for a new Idol and the fragrant Kelly Clarkson was the winner.


• Her first few singles were okay, but 2004's Max Martin/Dr Luke extravaganza 'Since U Been Gone' is basically a stone-cold pop classic.


• 'Because Of You' is a bit of a wee pie and is very amazing.


• 2007's 'My December' album was all a bit sombre and sold less but it's a "fan favourite".


• As if by magic, the first single from the follow-up album was produced by Dr Luke.


• The cover art for 'All I Ever Wanted' was appalling but much of the music contained within was literally above average.


• Her fifth album, Stronger was released in October 2011 and contains one of the best songs of all time: 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)'.
