The salient points

• Eric Saade is Swedish and combines being a singer with some presenting on TV.


• He used to be in a boyband called What's Up!, who were only moderately successful. In 2009, Saade decided to leave, which seems to have been a good idea.


• His first single, 'Sleepless', only peaked at number 44 in Sweden. Thankfully, 'Manboy' got to Number One.


• In 2011, he represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest with this lifechanging anthem of hope and amazingness.


• His second album, 'Saade Vol 1', is full of incredible songs, not least the metaphorically confusing 'Killed By A Cop'.


• His third album, 'Saade Vol 2', is less good, but still worth a listen.


• He did a song with Dev. Mind you so did everyone.
