The show is part of VEVO’s concert series thing and will be at the 450-capacity Tabernacle, which is in Notting Hill. It will also be streamed live on the internet so don’t worry too much if you can’t get in.

Tickets won’t go on sale until May 27 and details of how fans can get them haven’t been announced as yet. We suspect there will be a hashtag involved or something.

Demi had this to say about it all: “I love performing in the UK, and it’s exciting that I can share such an exclusive performance in London with my fans all over the world through my own VEVO Presents event.”

So that’s that.

“First of all, I love the song. Like, I really love the song,” she told MTV about ‘Really Don’t Care’. “And I was very excited to put my kind of twist on it.”

That’s not to say she’s not also a fan of Lovato’s back catalogue either though.

“I have ‘Skyscraper’ and I am constantly listening to it, and I can gladly say that it makes me tear up a little bit,” she continued, echoing our thoughts exactly.

“I mean, that girl can really sing, and it’s so different. That’s the thing, nowadays it’s so important to be able to be recognized and to be on the radio and for people to know automatically it’s you. And Demi has that and that’s something I really look up to.”

She also talked about her duet, ‘It’s All Good’, with Ne-Yo which is being organised by a lolly company and involves fans sending in lyrics.

“We’re just working towards getting a great summer vibe-y track going,” she explained. “Me and Ne-Yo are very much in charge of this whole process, you know, the musical side of it. And, of course, there’s going to be a few willies out there that suggest some crazy stuff. The real fans are going to submit good stuff.”

The ‘La La Land’ chanteuse started a Twitter-based unlocking ‘thing’ last night which involved getting the various song titles trending and lo and behold the entire album has appeared here.

The ‘gigs’ take place in Central Park, which is of course in New York, and they take place every Friday, which is nice because everyone feels a bit happier on a Friday do they not.

“We all know the struggles that Demi has faced and we all know the issues that surround her personal life,” he said. “So it’s impossible not to apply that or project that onto her while she’s performing and to project that onto her when she’s singing in her video.”

He continued: “After all, how could anybody not feel anything extra when Kurt Cobain is lying down in a field of poppies in the ‘Heart Shaped Box’ video? Everyone knew the guy was a heroin addict at that point.”

“I would say that with all that in mind, Demi is very open about her personal life and very open about who she is as a person and the struggles that she’s faced. And those are things people can project, or choose not to know anything about, when they’re watching the video.”

This may be what is referred to in the industry as a “minor stretch.”
