If you think that's scary then you must be middle class or something.

That's fairly trite and dismissive, even by your standards.

I was thinking about how difficult it would be to schedule this video on a music channel but I guess that doesn't really matter these days. If you make a really fucked up video and shove it online everyone's going to pass it round anyway. Can't imagine many people hearing the song and thinking 'ooh, must buy the album' though.

I kept thinking it was going to have some kind of resolution but it's just relentless!

Do you think so? Probably translates badly over the internet but nothing I say on here is ever serious and is meant to be tongue in cheek.

In that case I retract my slightly snippy comment.

I think it's a bit lame to make a video like this and then step back without explaining, so i'd be intrigued to hear what the point of it is.

Well chavs yobs do give many people a lot of stress so I can kind of see how the video relates to the track. Or maybe I'm just speaking bollocks? It's all down to your own personal interpretation.

If anything it seems like a very transparent attempt to shock and get a lot of press etc.

I think you're probably right on both counts - make a shocking video, justify (boom boom) it by saying something really vague.

Aren't it the yobs who are stressed and have no way to vent their frustration? Or they think they don't? Anyway, I'm off to the gym to release some of the stress that video has caused me.

That's the intriguing part about it, it's what makes it interesting. I don't think Justice is condoning that behaviour, but they like to fool around with symbolism-laden images in an ambiguous way, like their name, logo, and in this case putting their brand on the thugs.

Well I agree, could work either way. However I don't like the idea of yobs thinking it's OK to take out their stress on innocent people by petrol bombing cars and trashing blocks of flats and having ultra-liberal left-wing social workers telling people they are just misunderstood and no-one loves etc so it didn't really enter my mind. I do come from a very rough area where windows are smashed and cars set on fire daily so I was not really shocked by this video. Just reminded me how shit my life used to be and how I escaped it all. Phew!

I guess I should be a little worried that I've watched it about 13 times since I got an email about it earlier today.  As Pen Expers has said; intriguing.  I'm drawn to how full-on this video is and just how much it actually lives up to its song title.

Best video I've seen for the year for the best song on their album.  I always pictured a clip to go with the song to be of a horror-movie theme, but this certainly exceeded my expectations of the type of intensity it has now.  Any way you look at it, whatever the intention, it's disturbing, which is probably the only way this song could be represented.

But, as Pull Shapes has pointed out, this isn't a shocking portrayal of anything for a lot of people.  For me, who's lived in a middle class area in a suburban Australian neighborhood all his life, it was.
