I really liked Atomic Kitten, AK are pure pop, GA are electrotype pop and the Sugas are rnb lite type pop - all a good mix to have on my mp3

This new song is dire. Just dire. The video looks like it cost a tenner.

Just goes to show that pop has come along way since AK split. They'll not get away with this tripe in the current climate.

i still adore 'it's ok', 'be with you' and 'if you come to me'. the 'ladies night' was they're best album in my opinion. so does anyone know if they're back for good or is this this single just a one off?

'Someone Like Me' is my fav ever AK song. It was the perfect 'goodbye' song aswell, can't believe it's been 4 years since that was released!

They had nice songs here and there but I found them hard to really warm to.
Be With You is fantastic though with lots of Jake Nava magic on display in the video!

I wish more people were open minded like you. Or honest like you, as I don't believe people who slag AK off here NEVER liked one or two songs of theirs

I got their Greatest Hits one Christmas which I was secretly happy to get.
Be With You and Someone Like Me were always my favourites, It's OK and Love Doesn't Have To Hurt were quite good too.

They certainly weren't the worst Girl Group ever though.

Believe me when I say I've never liked them.  Not once.  I always knew they were crap and told everyone very loudly.  Why do you think I grabbed onto the Sugbabes when they first came out?  The original and best Sugababes.  God, they saved pop music for me - they were pure class.   So when Atomic Kitten started getting to #1 I nearly choked on my barely supressed rage!  And they beat Bootylicious to the top spot with one of the worst covers of all time.

For me they represent the worst aspects of manufactured pop; the awful tackiness, the relentless smiles, the cheap sounding music, the submissive songs where they just zombishly lavish praise on some fuckwit man.

Pure Hate!  And I'm very open minded about my music, I like to think so anyway.

I have no problem with injecting a little more bubblegum in pop these days, it's become so urban in some parts of the world, but Atomic Kitten is not what pop needs at all! They're absolutely horrendous! Three marginally talented singers who can barely dance, and even have boring productions! It's like releasing "Life Got Cold" over and over and over again! Actually, Atomic Kitten would probably kill for "Life Got Cold"!

I think they're good. I love If you come to me and the Ladies Night Album. Now I really like this cover the video is good and Natasha looks gorgeous. I can't compare them with Girls Aloud or Sugababes because their sound is different. Oh and they're very good doing ballads!

Kirkland, you do need to hear "Be With You".  That song alone, might very well change your perception of them.

Why is there no love for Jenny Frost?  Is she a worse singer than Britney Spears?  And why hasn't any of them released a full length solo disc??

I couldn't name one of their songs but Whole Again!
There's that one that goes "come on baby give it to me slowly"...

Apparently! Most people say 'I only liked them with their first 4 singles (or 3 as most forget Follow Me) when they were truly pop, especially I Want Your Love bla bla'

To be honest, I think it's more a case of the band becoming bland and their songs all sounding pretty similar and mid-tempo after Whole again.
It's like the record company noticed that Whole again was a hit and just decided to keep remaking it.

Apart from Ladies Night, which I quite liked.

No one ever really defends Britney's singing, I certainly don't, but for heaven's sakes, Jenny would kill for an ounce of the charisma Britney has.

I don't like Britney's singing voice, but at least it has a bit of character. Jenny Frost sounds like a robot with a cold.
