The Pet Shop Boys latest album release "Disco 4", is due for release next month. It is set to feature only 2 of their own songs, along with some of the remixes they have done for other artists. Limited promo''s of the new remix of "Integral" are to be sent out, and a video has been made which is to be featured on YouTube very soon.
Heres the tracklist of "Disco 4"

1. The Killers: Read My Mind (PSB Stars Are Blazing mix)
2. David Bowie with Pet Shop Boys: Hallo Spaceboy (PSB Extended mix)
3. Pet Shop Boys: Integral (PSB Perfect Immaculate mix)
4. Yoko Ono: Walking On Thin Ice (PSB Electro mix)
5. Madonna: Sorry (PSB Maxi-mix)
6. Atomizer: Hooked On Radiation (PSB Orange Alert mix)
7. Rammstein: Mein Teil (PSB There Are No Guitars On This mix)
8. Pet Shop Boys: I''m with Stupid (PSB Maxi-mix)

I have to admit, i''m very dissapointed. I love the previous Disco albums, but i dont agree with other peoples songs being on this.

Hmm, maybe it should be callec Rubbish.

With the exception of the Madonna mix all their mixes for other people have been crap.

Another case of the PSB milking their back catalogue dry and testing the patience of their fans.

How disappointing. I buy practically everything they release but I can''t see me bothering with this. It seems like a waste of time to me.

I am not buying this release. Only one of two I refuse to buy - the other is Disco 2. It is a waste! if it had been 10 tracks with that tracklisting and Fugitive (7" Mix) and Dirty Tricks for example I would have brought.

But what on earth is the point of filming a video for Youtube? Me thinks a single release was planned but cancelled after filming finished but then again would niot be surprised if a single did happen.

Why not just Integral digital download only single with Dirty Tricks, Fugitive (7" Mix), China and two Integral mixes? Jesus what a shambles.

Petition anyone?

AKA Now that''s what I call Pet Shop Boys remixes!!!!! volume 1

Very disappointing. I thought that the new deal with Parlophone would allow them to release what they wanted (within reason) but after the superb Disco 3 this is merely otiose. Who exactly is waiting for this? Why the hell make a video for a single that won''t be released? Disco 6 will be shit too.

criminal that the pete burns single ''jack n jill party'' isnt there!!!

i''ve often thought the psbs should release an album called ''collaboration'':

eighth wonder, madonna, killers, pete burns, boy george, dusty springfield, yoko ono, david bowie, blur, electronic, kylie minogue, klf, robbie williams, atomizer, liza minelli, elton john, rammstein, tina turner, even cicero dammit!!!

now that''s a line up!

and yeah, this does scream ''cash cow'' ... a rare lapse of reason in what is generally a consistently strong standard and attenton to detail ...

As an extra disc to a proper “Disco” album it would be great. As a stand-alone it is a bit lazy (and I hate having to say that). Many of us will already have a PSB Mixes playlist with these tracks and more.

Now this would be much more like it. A definitive collection beautifully packaged by Mark Farrow.

AND a DVD of said tracks, yummy!

That would be so much better, I''d love to have a CD quality copy of I''m Not Scared, I only have the crusty 7" vinyl, probably their best collaboration, after Dusty of course. Disco 2 was rubbish, I only bought it when it was in the bargain bin just to add to the collection.

No doubt there will be a special two disc edition of Fundamental in the year 2010 and the tracks we really wanted to see, i.e mixes of Integral, the original Fugitive etc will be on that.

Most PSB fans will already have these mixes.  I agree that the long-deleted and completely wonderful Jack And Jill Party extended version should have been included rather than their dreadful version of The Killers Read My Mind.

A lost opportunity methinks.

Wouldn''t ''Pet Shop Boys Commissioned'' be a better title for this, umm, collection?
