So it's called "All I Ever Wanted" now.

The album is called Masquerade according to: http://sec.online.wsj.com/article/SB123084861171947381.html

For her fourth album, Ms. Clarkson is "in a period where she wants to take on the pop world again," says RCA general manager Tom Corson. "She's ready, and she's got all the right support."

Oh SNAP!

He is totally having a dig at Clive and co in that statement with the "She's ready, and she's got all the right support."

I like the title too.

Not too keen on the title at the moment - what's the "supposed" story behind this one? At the moment it almost feels like 'This album Kelly is going to masquerade as a Pop singer again'... although I'm sure her returning to a pop sound is what most people want (myself included) anyway.

So she's now using Katy Perry's rejects?

Well as a Katy Perry fan from the start, it really really pleases me to see she's made a nice little mark for herself on the American pop market. Hook Up is one of my favorite Katy Perry demo's it should be good with Kelly Clarkson singing it. I don't like Long Shot too much though....

She's sure liking Howard Benson then. Bit bummed that she has no co-writes at all there and I hope there's more than just one Tedder song... love the album title and it'll lend itself to great cover art.

Don't know why she feels the need for the Katy Perry Tracks  : 0
She is a much better song writer, bit deflating really.
Fingers crossed they are just tracks she has recorded but decides not to put on the album.

"Breakaway" was an Avril Lavigne 'cast-off' from "Let Go" so - without having listened to the YouTube clips - I can't say I'm particularly worried that Kelly is recording some songs happened to have been 'cast-off' by Katy Perry as this sort of thing happens more often than people seem to realise.

Just because a song is 'cast-off' by one artist doesn't necessarily equate to it being a bad song.

But they're not just any cast-offs, they're Katy Perry's. Wasn't the single cover already enough?

There is a song called If I Can't Have You that was written with Ryan Tedder and apparently that is on there. There should be about 3 with him in total, but more with Howard Benson.

Indeed. If her label got their way in the 'My December' era and had her singing Lindsay Lohan's 'Black Hole', that would have turned out a quite amazing song. (Dodgy sentence, sorry, it'll have to do)

Have to disagree there. I love both Lohan's albums, but I don't think "Black Hole" ever had hit potential. The verses are beautifully done, but the clunky chorus lets the whole things down a bit.

It's a little disappointing Kelly has no co-writing credits on the new album, but hopefully the overall track quality will be decent.

There's only 8 tracks there so she might have some co-writes. Kelly has great songwriting talents (Be Still, Addicted, Never Again, Sober, Because of You).
