Until The Cardigans released 'Long Gone Before Daylight' - one of the 15 best albums of all time, fact fans - five years ago, 'Erase / Rewind' was their best song.
Getting in early for the Christmas market, the band have a greatest hits album coming out at the end of this month (?!) which means obligatory remixes which, in this instance, means Kleerup putting a 2008 spin on things while maintaining the elegance and subtlety which made the original so unforgettably immense in the first place.
A poppers o'clock rave-up remix would also have been welcome but this one's good enough to be getting on with...
(NB: When we said '2008 spin on things' we do of course mean '2007' because it's not as if bloody Kleerup has done the remix in the last two days.) (Is it?) (No.)
