Just watched the first Battle Rounds episode, I actually can't believe how wrong everything is going.

Tony Lucca over Chris Cauley = NO.
RaeLynn over Adley Stump = HELL TO THE NO.
Chris Mann over Monique = NOOO.
Cheesa over Angie = Actually, I'm okay with this.
Jordis over Brian = Yeah, I'm okay with this too.
Jesse over Anthony = Okay this was fine as well.

Okay maybe not as bad as I thought, but RaeLynn getting selected over Adley is just absolutely ridiculous. Shame on you Blake! Shame on you.

My jaw actually dropped when that happened.
You took my heartbeat from me, this is the saddest story

Since Britney has a thread, why not Christina?

Message from Rob Lewis, Xtina's friend and musical director:

"When I talked with Christina in Vegas about a week and a half ago, she was concerned about how she would sound vocally, because she hasn't been singing much at all...since TOUR! So I asked her had she been recording, and she said that she was working on some things, but not really singing. (Of course, Christina sounded powerful and great as usual)

I know that for this next album, she wants to go to more of a "futuristic" sound. She invited me and Sasha to accompany her and Jordan to the Kanye West concert in LA, where the whole time, we analyzed his performance, the staging, the music, etc. She even asked my thoughts on a collaboration between him and her...

I don't quite know where she is in the recording process. I usually help her produce her vocals for all of her recordings, outside of the records she does with Linda Perry, and will most likely become involved when she starts to record from home. But I can tell you that what you will see and hear from Christina will be different, original, and probably against the grain: the true form for Christina...always re-creating herself."
Ahead of the release of her first starring role opposite Cher in Steve Antin's 'Burlesque' in November, RCA are proud to confirm the release of Christina's fourth studio album, 'BIONIC', on March 29.

Including 14 brand new tracks, including the first single, 'GLAM' (due to impact radio Feb. 1st) with productions from The Neptunes, Linda Perry, Goldfrapp, Le Tigre, Tricky Stewart and M.I.A - the album sees a new musical direction from Christina.

"This album is totally different to what I've done in the past - much more upbeat, electronic and dance music," says Aguilera, "and I can't wait for you to all hear it."

'GLAM' is billed as "a poppy hip-hop inflected throwback to Madonna's Vogue," by Marie Claire magazine.

She's probably only count it as her third, though!

Britney's is actually in the stages of having producers and gathering songs, and being recorded in proper studios, so it's probably a bit further along!

Christina, can you please put your 1930s costumes back in the dress-up box and sing some songs worth listening to.

    Thanks.

I'm glad the voice isn't going to waste though her recent appearance is really alarming. She looks as though she's got two Jigglypuffs bolted to the front of her chest.

I also worry about a "futuristic" sound. I really don't think that kind of makeover will do Christina any favors. And can you imagine the terrible videos?

She disowned her debut? Ditching the Spanish/Xmas crap, I count 4 proper studio albums.
It's not like her debut was a flop and she can ignore them the way Janet did...

Oh dear lord, does anyone even care anymore about
Ms. Aguilera? I think she took her "I'm an artist" attitude a bit too far.
She hardly ever releases albums and when she does the are a mixed bag.
I'm not gonna even start with "Back To Basics" Why put so much
work into an album and then release 3 singles from it?
Waste of time. Release "Dirrty Part 2" and get it over with!

I really didn't like the whole B2B era. Hate that sort of retro music!

I miss dirrrrty whore Xtina, who sang urban pop and wore assless chaps! Where is that sexy bitch???

    In Pussycat Dolls?
“I heard it. I immediately was so sick by it and upset that I turned over and went back to sleep.”

Can we not count her last one, too?

    HARSH!

B2B was actually quite good album if you even bothred to listion to it properly!
Xtina is growing up, and you can't exspect her to keep singing old 90's tunes all her bloody life....give the girl a chance and stop talking crap...I would love to see you try and sing like her, douth you even can

  16. #16
She wants to sound futuristic? If this means more Timbaland influenced stuff then I'm afraid, Xtina, that ship has sailed.

I doubt anyone can sing like her because really, who wants to do vocal runs up, down, and all around a note without ever once hitting it? And Back to Basics was a pretentious album whose title was made all the more ironic by the fact that it had only three good songs.

The only good songs on B2B were released as singles.

The original mix of "Here To Stay" used in the Pepsi advert was actually quite good, but by the time it made it on to B2B it just sounded crap.

She really, really, needs to put out something decent this time. "Ain't No Other Man" was great, but had a shite video.

I frankly just want her to go back to putting out great singles again. Without her being pretenious or getting to caught up in how much of a "true" artist she is and all that crap.

Why don't we just start threads for every artist with a recording contract as they will be releasing albums at some point in the future?

Okay, since when is it taboo to discuss Britney and Christina Aguilera on Pop Fucking Justice?!?!?!?

It's not a fact releasing albums its a fact of information on the album.

There isn't any complains about the many threads girls aloud have, so why Britney and Christina?

  22. #22
Because those are GENERAL discussion threads. With no information on a 4th album there should not be thread it should be talked about in a general discussion thread.
I don't care about the VIP cuz every single DJ's inside me.

  23. #23
I don't have a problem with discussing Britney & Christina at all, I could talk about them all day.

It's just slightly ridiculous to be having these threads when there is absolutely no information about the "upcoming" albums to discuss. Why are we creating more threads for pointless shit when we already have threads for most artists recent albums plus a general one in a few instances.

Both Christina and Britney should release albums next spring in 2009, with both their marketing teams working together overtime to devise a HUGE promotional push that re-energizes the 'Britney vs. Christina' battle a la a '50 Cent vs. Kanye West'. It would be so much fun for a pop fan.

Wow. There's a hell of a lot of bile around here for Ags, isn't there.

B2B is actually a real grower of an album, I think most people were put off because it wasn't the 2nd version of Stripped. Well, fair enough, it wasn't, but it wasn't the 24 carat gold shit that some people made it out to be. I genuinely didn't like it when I first heard it, but it does get so much better after the first two or three listens - I really like it now, but then I enjoy the "retro sound" - possibly because I'm not 12.

Why is it that when Madonna reinvents herself, everyone cums in their pants over how amazing she is, yet nobody else can tweak their image and their sound without being lambasted for it? At least Ags can sodding well hold a tune.
