I love all of Girls Aloud. It is rare I can say that about a pop group. All Saints, overrated and fake, had one likeable member and that was Shaznay. I used to feel so bad for her, having to lavish those Chinawhite-loving bimbo bandmates with her lyrics and jacket. She has more dignity than I could ever imagine!
Annie, if you're reading this...please know that I want your EP right now!

Nadine also has "I've never even heard it!!!"

Nicola has amazing bits on so many songs, and for the Rude Ginger Bitch skirt.

Nadine is just the best. I love how she says "errybody" and "togeller" and "swaaangs."

Never Ever is so lifeless an awful. Why it's regarded as a classic I'll never know.

All Saints? Oh I do agree. In fact most of their output is faux-American RnBollocks. They did a few Ray Of Light tracks which I liked but they were hugely overrated.

Which ones are the Ray of Light tracks? I know Pure Shores is, but what else?

Black Coffee was one too, right?

  9. #17434
Yeah Black Coffee. I love that song.
    The Janines...

  10. #17435
Black Coffee is easily their best song.
So you like show tunes? That doesn't mean you're gay. It just means you're AWFUL!!!

Black Coffee, Dreams and Surrender were all produced by William Orbit as well (and all of them are amazing). And yes, Never Ever is dreary.

    Thanks marie!

    You're welcome!

Glad its not just me who didn't get the fuss over Never Ever, then again, I'm quite allergic to talky bits in pop songs.

Give me Rock Steady any day! (And yes, their Orbit tracks are best).

  15. #17440
Did William Orbit do anything else similar to those songs/Ray of Light? I love that stuff.

  16. #17441
Rock Steady is amazing! Why that comeback track resulted in subsequent disastrous album sales I shall never know.

Rock Steady is amazing yes. I don't understand why GA thought it sounded like them though... does it?

Spiral with the 2gababes is quite similar.

Spiral is such a beautiful song.

I never understood the whole "Nelly Furtado has a difficult voice to listen to". I thought it was really good actually. Until Big Hoops came along. Fucking hell, what happened?

  21. #17446
"Big Hoops" remains absolutely magnificent in the face of all this adversity.

  22. #17447
Hey, the girl sold like 4 copies of Mi Plan here in Ireland (certifying the album gold), and I bought half of those. She should be worried.

(I actually like Something, it's just her vocals on Big Hoops that irk me, and I cannot fathom the positive reaction in the slightest.)

  23. #17448
Britney should have gotten her shit together during Blackout and alternated with Justin and Nelly releasing singles from their three albums so that every song from all three of their albums had gotten the treatment. Then we'd have at least one flawless pop single in rotation for three or four years.
    Janet.

Big Hoops is so good. Why is it such a flop?

I need to hear it when drunk sometime soon. Exams are so annoying for disturbing drinking patterns.

Big Hoops is one of the best pop singles of the year worse but the first verse is particularly jarring on first listen. Also, it's video is offensively shit.
