Call me Judas but I'm not all that fussed about Girls Aloud. I like plenty of the songs and I see why people like them but they leave a bit non-plussed a lot of the time.
Follow that you bitches.

Although everybody on these boards obviously adores Girls Aloud, Miss Stevens and Darren Hayes, and despises James Blunt, as we all should, every now and then there still are these moments where you have to disagree with everybody else...
For example:
- I think Britney's new album isn't quite that brilliant, and I'd wished she'd just kept churning out Max Martin-tunes, even if that meant we'd never got Toxic...
- I like Girls Aloud's ballads... Heck, I even like their covers... When came out I was more excited about I Think We're Alone Now then about Money..
- I don't think Westlife are thát bad.. Sure, that cover-album was unnecesary, but the one before that one was quite decent.. If only they'd make more tracks like I Lay My Love On You, If I Let You Go, When You're Looking Like That and World Of Our Own!
- I seriously still love everything Scooch, Steps and comparable groups have made.. If an artist would release the same sort of songs tomorrow I'd run out and buy it.. Nice enough that music evolves through the years, but I really don't think pure plastic pop is something that should stay in the 90's, cause we're 'over it'.. It hasn't aged badly at all..
- I don't get the hate for Let Love Lead The Way.. I actually think both the song and the vid are quite beautifull..
Those were just a few of mine from the top of my head..
So what are your unpopular pop-opinions.. Those matters where everybody seems to agree on, except you?

I like Britney's Boom Boom and Outrageous!
Outrageous indeed!
I never got Sinead O' Connor's Nothing Compares 2U.
Or Lisa Stansfield All Around The World.
More soon...
“I heard it. I immediately was so sick by it and upset that I turned over and went back to sleep.”
Though it sounds a bit strange after my "I wish Britney was still making bubblegum-pop", I liked those as well! Outrageous even was my album-fave for quite a while...Originally Posted by vasilios

Kylie Minogue irritates the hell out of me, and I think a lot of her music is shit.
Re: Girls Aloud - I hate The Show and quite like See The Day.
I don't get the "Spice Girls" and the whole reunion hype....
And don't see the fun in "Trainwreck"-Britney. It's saddening because the same way that the "Spice Girls" were idols for some people on here when they were younger, I loved Britney when I was younger and seeing her now breaks my heart. Hence my reservations about the whole "Blackout"-Project, although liking the music.
I love everything "Girls Aloud" but to this day am not able to differentiate between some of the members and what their names are, except for Nicola and Sarah. The other three I always mix up, it's probably because their TV presence is restricted to the UK and I only get information about them over the internet and my main priority is their music.
I really, really like Girls Aloud's version of "See The Day" and would have loved that to have been the christmas number one. I don't really know the original though.
I never got "Angels" by Robbie.I never got Sinead O' Connor's Nothing Compares 2U
I think the first Sugababes album is a bit dreary.
"Forever" by the Spice Girls is a really good album.
i love love love walk this way by girls aloud and sugababes and hate the original, I wish amelle replaced heidi in the sugababes. I hate nicola from girls aloud, her vocals are so weak and session singer-ey, she cannot make an impact on recordings at all, however live alright. I absoloutley love studio 1 by the all saints, chick fit should have been shelved for flashback or in it to win it.
Firmly on Team Amelle
I hate 80s Kylie and Madonna. Infact I hate Madonna apart from her Ray of Light and Cofessions album. Pet Shop Boys are rubbish.
I'm going to have to attack two of the very cornerstones of Popjustice, I'm afraid.
I absolutely detest and despise the Spice Girls. 'Wannabe' is probably the most irritating thing ever commited to CD, and it's pretty much all downhill from there. I quite like 'Viva Forever' though.
And secondly: Cathy Dennis is vastly overrated. Everything I've heard from her, just sounds incredibly weak to me. I love Britney and Kylie, but both 'Toxic' and 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' are career low points for me.
I'm off to burn in hell.
- Darren Hayes and Siobhán Donaghy are both awful. I can't workout if both are incredibly lazy, incredibly stupid or just out and out thieves.
- Kylie Minogue has still never released a good album - ever. In fact, she's better off just releasing one single every couple of years and then leaving it at that.
- Britney Spears is the most overrated pop 'singer' to ever draw a breath.
- The Spice Girls, and their cheap devil spawns Steps and S Club Seven, were complete rubbish.
- Rihanna still sucks.
- Off the top of my head, The Pussycat Dolls are probably the second best girl group on the planet right now. And oddly enough, not the trashiest by far.
- Janet Jackson's So Excited from 20 Y.O. was a killer single and one of the best from last year.
Oh I agree with you about Steps and S Club and S Club Juniors, just plain rubbish.
I can't stand Rachel Stevens, but I like the songs she sings on (I think I will definitely burn for that one).
Eurovision is utter shit, and I think the 'big' European countries like UK, France, Germany etc should pull out as the crap countries are blatantly taking us for a ride and then see how far they get with 10 pence between them. Cardboard sets, the lot.

- i was gutted that the 5ive reunion never materialised
- i hate madonna's and american life and confessions albums
- i don't see the excitement with remixes...if i stumble across one, great. But i'd never go out of my way to collect them.
pesos, pounds, and lira
I have to agree about the Pussycat Dolls.. I think their album was really amazing.. I rank it up there with Chemistry and Come & Get It, as one of those rare 'not a single duff track'-albums..
I also really like Joss Stone.. Don't know to much about her personality, but I love her albums!
Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I automatically want to go to G-A-Y even though Kelis, Betty Boo and Roisin Murphy have recently done PAs there and therefore I've had to miss out totally as the first two won't even do a NORMAL live date.
We will run with dirty boys
Rihanna is just awful.
Andrea Corr's album was pretty good.
All Saints' "Chick Fit" is one of the best songs of the year.
high like heaven, strong like music, slow like honey & heavy with mood
I forgot to include how awesome Studio 1 and Janet's So Excited were!
I have another - Kimberley is my least favourite member of Girls Aloud.
I think that opinion is more popular than you realise. They're so boring now!Originally Posted by Jane Lane

- I hate the Freemasons with a passion, the only good remix they provided Beyonce with was Beautiful Liar and that's purely because the original was that horrible anything would have improved it.
- I love American Life, it's one of my favourite Madonna albums.
- Good Girl Gone Bad was a terrible album bar Umbrella, Push Up On Me, Don't Stop The Music and Breaking Dishes.
- Can't Get You Out Of My Head is one of the single most overrated songs of all time, in fact, it's actually quite dull.
- Umbrella didn't really deserve a week at number one, let alone ten (I can let at least one go as it was the best thing out at the time).
- See The Day is actually one of Girls Aloud's best ballads.
- I completely agree on Hayes and Donaghy. Hayes' singles tend to become boring after about 1:30. As for Siobhan, every time I read a praising diatribe about her album I played it, but it never managed to get above the level of 'not entirely unpleasant sonic wallpaper'.
- Janet should have called it quits right after Velvet Rope. She could have turned into a happy, retired, fat woman. Instead she's a tired, desperate slut with a scared 'love me please' look in her eyes.
- Indie rock is so much more pop than anything R&B could ever be. Give me Franz Ferdinand over Beyonce any day.
- 'Angels' and 'Can't get you out of my head' share one quality -- are truly non-descript. Well that's a lie, since 'Angels' is the slow one that sounds like Oasis on a bad day and 'CGYOOMH' is the faster one with lalalas.
- But still, 'Rudebox' would be a fantastic album if it was edited down to 10 tracks.
- Speaking of which, it's really hard for me to get excited about any album longer than 50 minutes and this is why I never played 'Play' or '18' -- if the latter was called '11', I might have loved it to pieces, as I really really liked the singles.
Lovely thread.
Ghosts is a good album but I don't think it's brilliant. I can happily skips whole portions of it in favour of a few songs.
How about this for controversial (and dumb)
I don't really listen to Calvin Harris. I bought his album and listen to two songs off it and ignore the other ones.
Annie, if you're reading this...please know that I want your EP right now!
I actually didn't mind Body Language..
Loving Days was beautifull, Red Blooded Woman was a great poptune, and I even kinda liked Chocolate.. There weren't the obvious killer singles and loads of hooks that Fever & Light Years offered, but in an understated way the album really worked for me..
I just don't 'get' BootyLuv.
Why so many people seem to get excited about two hasbeens from an already embarrasing pop group to front an album of funky house covers is enough to make me want to go out and get fucked bareback by someone poz so that I can die now! Everywhere I go I am subjected to it, it's a crossover that gets played by children, in clubs, gyms, houseparties, ipods on the tube and on here.
Don't Mess With My Man by Lucy Pearl is an absolute anthem. Don't Mess With My Man by BootyLuv is a paint-by-numbers laclustre exercise in musical laziness. Not a single redeemign thing about it.
