Nothing makes Nicola Roberts's solo career amazing. Except for making Cheryl Cole's career look even better in comparison.

As for The Sats, it was probably a bit misconstrued to say that I love watching them fail....I think I've just reached that point of Schadenfreude with them. You know they're going to mess up somewhere along the way, you know they're going to end up charting below Flo Rida,Tinchy Stryder and the cast of The Muppets, you know their video costs £5.80, you know their remixes sound like someone's GCSE Music project, you know 'big promo' for them counts as going on Alan Titchmarsh. You just enjoy the ride for all its terrible worth, and don't get wound up when their latest single charts at #26 in Lithuania.

It's like going on a Ghost Train at a fair. You know full well that you're paying £2 for a load of pretend skeletons from Poundland and a fat bloke in a zombie costume coming out around the corner to scream at you and your younger siblings, but you still go and ride it knowing the last thing that's going to happen is that you'll genuinely be scared.
Yeah because Lady Gaga is the only pop star of this generation to have an iconic anthematic song. California Gurls says hi. *Eye roll*

    Those last two...just no.
Carrie Underwood is the most beautiful woman in music!

Hmm. I don't know, I just don't look into it that much. I just enjoy the music. I know this is a forum and that comes second to analyzing but I guess I'm just different in that way. The only thing that irks is when people use their chart positions to seriously dispute their musical output.

When people like Olly Murs, Cheryl Cole, or Flo Rida are always guaranteed the # 1 spot because they are 'popular' I just can't take any of it seriously!

Oh and I must add The Real Heat to the list. They were brilliant. I was gutted when they split up before they released their album.
Annie, if you're reading this...please know that I want your EP right now!

Even though it's a total knockoff, Brooke Hogan's Ruff Me Up is far superior to Womanizer.

Haven't really liked anything from Azealia since Fuck Up The Fun.

Sorta the same! Fuck Up is far and beyond the best thing she's done, Van Vogue isn't giving me much in the way of anything yet, and 1991's just....okay. Annoying sample. I hate 212's lyrical repetition. There's only a certain amount of times I was able to listen to "guess that cunt's gettin eaten" and now I'm bored. And that shrieking "WHATCHA GON DO WHEN I APPEAR!?!?" is unbearable.

Bambi has promise to be good in its final form, though we'll see for that. I'd say Jumanji's her only recent saving grace.

The entire 1991 EP is flawless. Listen to Liquorice on repeat and pray to Allahzelia for forgiveness.
    "Spit ya fluidest, Bitch..."

`Fuck Up The Fun' is one of her worst. Still good, but the whole EP beats it.

Liquorice is slowly creeping its way up to '212' as one of my favourites from her.
I'm about to drown in the ocean.

  11. #17536
I hate Fuck Up The Fun. It's her only misstep so far though.

I really need more proper singing from her though! Like on Slow Hands. I know it's most likely coming on her album, but I wish it could come quicker.
    Balance dad mysterious.

  12. #17537
I'm waiting for her to sing more, too. It's the only lacking thing her output so far.

Liquorice is so old to me in comparison to what's she's been putting out, no matter how many revisions it gets. I need some new life

  14. #17539
1991 is probably the best thing Azealia has put her vocals to that isn't 212. Fuck Up The Fun is okay, but it sounds a bit like M.I.A.'s old knickers in no small part thanks to Diplo's weary production skills. The EP is amazing and I really hope the album will match it.

Loud is and probably always will be Rihanna's best era. Bang on all you like about the emotional depth and artistry evident in it's predecessor but she put out four amazing singles (Only Girl, What's My Name?, California King Bed and Man Down - like you had to ask!) with equally amazing videos to match. The consistency with that red palette running through the visuals of the entire era is also brilliant and that weave will go down in history. Everything was on point and considering, I don't look to Rihanna as many of you seem to (in light of Rated R), it was a masterclass in the handling of a perfect pop era.
    "Ardent Rihanna mud-slinger"

Yes 100%!! Brooke Hogan is so talented and she actually properly writes her music unlike these pop bimbos like Rihanna, Beyonce and Lady Gaga plus she is one of the most beautiful women in the world.

The problem was that the album didn't follow through with what any of those singles promised. Visually it was a great era, but sonically she was all over the place overall.

Yeah, but I think the album was lyrically consistent enough to keep it from being a disaster. Even though the music around her changed, she kept singing about sex and partying and flaky guys (well, except for California King Bed and Man Down, two outliers). I think it's the opposite of Rated R, which is very musically cohesive--to the point of monotony sometimes--but the lyrics are all over the place. The closest it gets to a theme is "shit I'm going through right now." Good Girl Gone Bad struck the best balance, I think.

Beautiful? She's shaped like her father.

The other night when out, Man Down came on. It was such a weird song for a club. My housemate and I were dancing to the rum pu-pu-pum like pirates.

On what planet is Rihanna better looking than Beyonce? I don't want to live there.

    ??

Gaga "properly writes her music" as well. She is a songwriter...

Normally I find music videos that attempt to use actors instead of the artist are crap but I think the recent Calvin Harris music videos are actually really great and capture the songs really well.
