Quite a good song.

Ace song, ace b-sides.
“I heard it. I immediately was so sick by it and upset that I turned over and went back to sleep.”
Song of the year.
Rippin' up the disco<br />Raving on the dancefloor.
Definitely my first or second choice.
Richard X - tastic instrumental, amazingly ice cold clipped vocals and really quite interesting lyrics.
Certainly gets the thumbs up from moi.
My fav song of the year.
Video is good and B-Sides are great!
Roisin to win (cos let''s face it she ain''t likely to wein anything else this year is she)
As much as I adore this song and quietly think it''s the best thing on the list, because it doesn''t give me the sugar rush I crave that stomers like Catch You and Something Kinda Ooooh do I can''t get excited enough about it to vote for it.
Still - it''s the one song on the list I can listen to over and over again without getting sick of it.
I know exactly what you mean. "Sugar rush" is a great term for what it lacks. It''s wonderfully classy and probably will sound great years from now.Originally Posted by diamond doggie bag

I always thought she was Swedish...
Been there, done that, t-shirt didn't fit.
I haven''t even listened to it. Is it really worth three minutes of my life? Because I find her voice grating, particularly on ''Sing It Back''.
She''s a goddess. Just fantastic.
My favorite of the bunch. It''s such a sexy song. It''s like Grace Jones meets Tiga.
Love it.
I really think we NEED Roisin Murphy more than we''re all aware. One of the few, true original performers who goes beyond the call of duty to make great music and put on a great show. She doesn''t even need to sing (anyone who has ever seen her dance during one of her gigs knows what i''m talking about). The fact that she does sing makes it all the better.
She''s eccentric, well-crafted, original and just good old plain fun. Wish we had more people like her. Her new album is bound to be what Bjork claimed ''Volta'' was going to be. However, I''m not 100% sure this is the song for the £20. not when there is another ex-female vocalist who also released one of the most amazing flop singles of recent times. And no, I don''t mean the one from theaudience.
We will run with dirty boys
Perhaps i''ve been spoiled by a childhood of pop/top 40 radio but this song seems to meander to nowhere.
"i'm like, 'hello gays. i need to look like grace jones.' and :: snap snap snap :: they are ova here gettin yo girl TOGETHA!"
You can''t really dance to it can you?

It''s not an anthem for hands-in-the-air dancing but you can definitely move to it.
It''s such a sensual song. Sounds AMAZING in your earpiece as you walk the city at night.
Lovely track.
the seamus haji mix is def a bit more danceable ... its just a bit ''beefed up''. but what is good about this remix it is kinda like the old extened remixes from the 1980''s with only subtle changes.
roisin should win this thing!!! shes the best of the lot of them!!!!
It''s a brilliant song. Properly intelligent lyrics too -the changing of oxytosin (sp?) the substance that gets released into the brian when you''re in love, to oxy-toxins is a minor stroke of genius. But the central lyric holding it all together is so simple that the song is still accessible.

amazing song - amazing woman - and yes the b sides....also amazing! first choice.
"Do You Like Cats?"
My choice is for this. I''m changing from Don''t Give It Up. I am choosing based on song, not on artist! This song is amazing.
This song truly is a sultry amazement. But as stated above, it''s quite not the anthem deserving the £20. Roisin''s the best there is, but somewhere I really do think ''Stop Me'' or ''Rehab'' should win this thin.
