Quite a good song.

At least it''s nominated for something. Still one of the biggest pop-injustices of recent years.
The drive of this song and the verses are somethings I like, but I fail to see the beauty of the refrain, and thus the overall song is trite and lustreless in my opinion.
This song is very good for the gym, but not as good as ''Something Kinda Ooooh''.
This may get my vote...I always support the underdog (Bwa ha ha haaah)

The extended mix is a better. There''s an actual pause after the ''Stop!'', which was something tragically lacking from the main version.
Very overrated! Would take "Something About You" a million times before this.
I know what you mean. I still have a soft spot for this tune, though. Would like there to be a mash-up of this song with Tori Amos'' TEENAGE HUSTLING. That would literally be beyond heavenly.Originally Posted by Mirror Man

Okey dokey, I have listened and watched each of the nominees and I am on Team Jamelia this year.
It might be a lonely place, but hey - I like being subversive.

This deserves to win. Girls Aloud are great and will always be remembered, but I for one do not see "Something Kinda Oooh" as their best song ever as some have said. "Beware of the Dog" was far more creative and orginal in my opinion (yes, I know it used a sample, but that is part of it''s genius) and it is a shame it wasn''t a Number One for Jamelia.
This should win definitely. Best song in the list. Love everything about it, notably "he''s comin a getcha - uh - he''s comin a getcha" .. and the bite in her voice in "Beware o the dowwwg!" .. probably in a minority but thought the video suited it perfectly too.

Never understood why this wasn''t at least a top 5.
I saw jamelia live a few weeks back and have come to the conclusion that if she had promoted with a live band (as she did when i saw her perform) then it would have charted better. She was simply amazing. I hope she comes back :(
I really love this track even now. There''s a part of me that would like Jamelia to win for this because it would probably generate a bit of publicity for her and she needs it more than anyone. It''s a dancefloor destroying anthem if you ask me and is one of my personal faves in the list.
Annie, if you're reading this...please know that I want your EP right now!
Good song
Shame about the video. Last yearsd Song For Mutya IMO
It''s a good song but it goes on one or two choruses too long and the vocals are a bit shouty. IMO this is what holds it back from greatness.
"i'm like, 'hello gays. i need to look like grace jones.' and :: snap snap snap :: they are ova here gettin yo girl TOGETHA!"
This is my second pick. Jamelia showed so much energy in this. It''s ace. I used to adore it and I still do. IMO best Jamelia song EVER.
It was played back-to-back with Rihanna''s SOS, and whilst SOS has aged somewhat, Beware of the Dog still sounds amazing and it is a travesty that the public at large didn''t buy it, but perhaps it was one sample too far.
Its close between this, Girls Aloud and Booty Luv for me but the fact that this still excites me in the same way as it did when I first heard it puts it ahead.
And sampling is not always great but this is.
I''m amused by comments such as ''this still sounds great'' and ''I love it even now''. It hasn''t even been a year, for God''s sake. Let''s see if it still sounds good in 2016.
Oddly, this song reminds me of last year''s Prize (I listened to it a shitload of times while travelling to and around London). Since then I''ve changed my mind about it once or twice, but it''s definitely a great pop song. In my top 4 from the shortlist alongside Amy, Siobhan and Booty Luv.
I don''t think this is that good of a song. I think it''s quite a lazy and generic version of electro pop. It''s just a sample heavily repeated.
Its good but its not amazing. It''s far too bogstandard and ''normal''. Just because it''s loud, doesn''t mean its good.
Been there, done that, t-shirt didn't fit.
I loved the video. Very moody and atmospheric and big budget looking.Originally Posted by Sweet Music
